Reflect on your experience in the course, your development of PLN, your use of social media platforms and networked publics. Note any changes in your perspective of social media in professional settings and personal use. Submit a closing blog post about your experience and consider how you can pivot your PLN into your next steps.

From this course, we mention several topics about PLN which start from understand what is PLN, how PLN influencing digital identity, community, public, or education, and finally reaching to how PLN could bring people with more methods to gain knowledge and enrich lives. The Mattermost is an open and convenient platform for students to recognize each other, express individual thoughts, and exchange opinions. Before attending this course, I have no idea about how my footprints in several social medias look like and I even do not clear why I choose to use these medias. The learning of visitor & resident map helps my to figure out the classifications of these medias and makes my realize how these medias could help me to develop my professional areas. Meanwhile, as each week would be assigned with a new topic, these topics connect with each other and always bring me additional thoughts to the entire topics. The reading materials and videos that Jesse provides each week are really interesting to be read and listened. Each week’s interviewer provides us their experiences and examples to help the students understand how PLN affect the interviewer’s life and consolidate our understandings about using PLN to develop professional fields. Also, the course reminds us if we use the PLNs as personal purpose to develop interests, we need to protect our security and privacy by chatting with reliable people and researching from verified resources so that the PLN could provide us with safety, diverse, and inclusive environments to develop whether professional or individual use. I would continuously using the PLN in the future to develop my interests or professional fields. As I mentioned in one of the previous blogs, I am not kind of person who like to express my thoughts, instead, I am more likely to be listener. Therefore, I think my pivot of using PLN in the future is to develop my ability to speak confidently in the public environment with my thoughts and opinions, I think I could obtain more progress in my PLN and professional field as I achieve this goal.
